Van Nuys, California
Since its founding, Van Nuys has been a busy city. The Pacific Electric Railway aka Red Cars connected parts of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and the San Fernando Valley through the use of electrically powered street cars. Van nuys became the first stop on the Red Car route in the San Fernando Valley helping it grow into a busy business center and eventually the most populous city in the San Fernando Valley.
In 1928, Van Nuys even got its own airport. It may feel small to many since it isn’t used for commercial flights but it is the 25th busiest airport in the USA and amongst the 20th busiest airports in the world.
With so many moving parts in the city of Van Nuys, we wanted to capture a moment of peace in time. After a rainy night, before the city wakes up, that fresh crisp scent of rain water and wet grass. Crisp, fresh and clean.
Scent Profile: Wet grass, sea salt, lavender, jasmine, cedar and ozone.
